Dancing in New Jersey/Philadelphia Area

Central Jersey Dance Society (CJDS) is a non-profit group that runs several well-attended social dances every month in Princeton, NJ including:

  • Ballroom dances (includes Waltz, Foxtrot, Ballroom Tango, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, and Swing/Jive, with an occasional Argentine Tango or Salsa)
  • California Mix dances (West Coast Swing, Hustle, East Coast Swing, Country Two-Step, Night Club Two-Step, Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Bachata, Meringue and Argentine Tango)
  • Salsa Sensation Dance (All Latin style dances)

There are usually about 100 attendees including beginner, intermediate, and advanced dancers ranging from age 20 to 70.  Whether you are just beginning or whether you have been dancing for years, the Central Jersey Dance Society is a great place to dance and have fun.  You don’t need to bring a partner and the people are very friendly and approachable.

It costs around $15 to go to the dance.  You receive an hour group lesson followed by a three hour dance party that includes drinks and snacks.  Social dancing is a great way to exercise, meet people listen to music, and have fun.  For more information, go to this website:  https://centraljerseydance.org/
